The Unity Line shipping company is based in Szczecin in Poland and is managed by Jarosław Kotarski. Since the construction of the flagship Polonia, which is designed to carry 1,000 passengers, the shipping company has owned eight cargo and passenger ferries. The largest passenger ship is the Skania, which has belonged to Unity Line since 2008. It can accommodate 1397 passengers, 50 trucks and 260 cars.

In addition to passenger transport, the shipping company is also important for the transportation of rail freight between Poland and Sweden. Unity Line handles 65 percent of freight traffic from the Baltic Sea. It is not considered the largest freight forwarder there for nothing. The shipping company operates the ships Jan GryfŚniadecki, Wolin, Gryf, Copernicus and Galileusz for freight transport. The last four ships are suitable for both freight and passenger transport.

Unity Line ships operate in the Baltic Sea region all year round. There are ferry trips between Świnoujście in Poland and the port of Ystad in Sweden. A second route is between Swinemünde and Trelleborg. Passengers remain on the ships for around six to six and a half hours. To make this time as pleasant as possible, the shipping company offers various amenities on its Polonia and Skania ferries. There is a café and restaurants on board the ships to quench hunger and thirst, as well as entertainment facilities. These include a bar and a disco as well as various stores and a casino for gambling enthusiasts. The comfortable cabins on board ensure a pleasant rest.
