TT-Line was founded in 1962 to offer a fast and efficient ferry service between Travemünde and Trelleborg in Sweden. Since then, the company has continuously expanded its portfolio, entered into partnerships and modernized its ships by purchasing new models.
In 1980, the TT Saga line was launched together with the Swedish Saga Linjen, but only existed for a short time. Later, in 1992, the "TR-Line" from Rostock to Trelleborg was founded in cooperation with Deutsche Seereederei Rostock and operated jointly until 1996. From this point onwards, the ferry line was fully owned by TT-Line.
The TT-Line shipping company has continuously adapted and expanded its route network to meet the requirements of its customers. The main connection between Travemünde and Trelleborg remains unchanged. In addition, further connections have been added, such as the routes from Rostock and Świnoujście in Poland to Trelleborg. Particularly noteworthy is the route between Klaipėda in Lithuania and Trelleborg, which was introduced in 2018. TT-Line now connects numerous Baltic Sea ports with a maximum of 18 daily departures and is therefore of great importance as a transport artery in the region.
