The island belongs to the Cyclades group. At just over nine km², Thirasia is only slightly larger than Baltrum, the smallest East Frisian island in the North Sea. The two harbor towns are Korfos and Riva. The main town on Thirasia is Manolas with several hundred inhabitants. Thirasia is less a destination for a longer vacation than for day tourists from Santorini, the 90 km² island directly opposite and much better known among holidaymakers. The almost untouched nature of Thireasia will really inspire you. Island destinations include the Kimisi Theotokou monastery at an altitude of 200 m on the south-eastern tip, the church of Agios Charalambos and the deserted village of Kera. Thirasia is the perfect place to unwind from your hectic everyday life.
