San Nicola Port Information
San Nicola is located in the Adriatic Sea and belongs to the province of Foggia in Apulia. It is the third largest island in the popular Tremiti archipelago. Even from a distance, the island resembles a fortress. The Benedictine monks built a complex here in the 9th century, which has been subject to numerous attacks throughout its history. At the top of the mainland is the historic Santa Maria a Mare church, which was consecrated in 1045 AD and attracts a large number of visitors year after year. The small stores in the narrow alleyways and the cozy restaurants at the harbour invite you to stroll and enjoy.
