Patmos Port Information

Patmos - the Jerusalem of the Aegean, the place where St. John wrote the Book of Revelation - shines with mythological and Christian magic. Originally, Zeus is said to have given the island to his daughter Artemis. Beautiful beaches next to picturesque cliffs await you, green hills with olive trees, ancient sites and sights. A visit to St. John's Monastery is a must, where you can also visit the cave where St. John had his visions. In addition to this monastery, the island has many other religious sites to offer. Ancient and Christian sites often lie side by side, such as the ruins of the Temple of Apollo next to the Church of St. Constantine in Chora.
