Limnos Port Information

At 480 km², Limnos is one of the ten largest islands in Greece. The rather desert-like landscape in the northwest with its ruins from antiquity gives a vague idea of the importance Limnos must have once had in pre-Christian times. Today, the island offers you unique natural treasures to discover. Sights include the castle of Myrina, the island's capital, and the Stone Age settlement of Poliochni. It dates back to several millennia before the birth of Christ and is considered the oldest city in Europe. Ancient treasures, salt lakes and surfing paradises in the east of the island, the volcanic rocks of Falakro and wide beaches make Limnos a vacation highlight in the Aegean.
