Langnas Port Information

Långnäs is a headland and harbor in the municipality of Lumparland on the Åland Islands, about 30 km from the capital Mariehamn. The port of Långnäs plays an important role in the region's ferry traffic.

Långnäs serves as the starting point for various ferry lines, including connections to the Finnish mainland and other Åland islands. The shipping companies Viking Line, Silja Line and Finnlines use the port as a night-time alternative to Mariehamn and for routes that allow duty-free sales of goods on board.

The port has a long history dating back to the 1920s. In the 1960s, a modern ferry terminal was built, which was later closed and demolished. At the end of the 1990s, the port was expanded to meet the growing demands of international shipping traffic.
