Lampedusa Port Information
The Mediterranean island of Lampedusa is part of the municipality of Lampedusa e Linosa and is geographically located between Sicily and Tunisia. Lampedusa is the southernmost island in Italy and also the largest Pelagian island. The island is an international topic of conversation, not least because of the refugee crisis. Its inhabitants, the Lampedusani, are known for their humanity and know how to keep life going on the island. In the warmer months of the year, Lampedusa attracts a large number of tourists. One of the main attractions is the Isola dei Conigli with the Spiaggia dei Conigli, known as the Rabbit Beach. In addition to the North African-style flora and fauna, you will also encounter various migratory birds and the endangered hawksbill turtle.
