Gedser, located at the southern tip of the Danish island of Falster, is one of Denmark's newest towns. Not far from the town is Gedser odde, a cliff and the southernmost point in Denmark. Nature lovers will find a bird reserve here, tourists can relax on the beach and fossils and amber can be found. Gedser is best known for its direct ferry connection to Germany. The ferry connection Rostock - Gedser is the oldest ferry connection from Germany to Scandinavia and is offered up to 10 times a day.
