Capraia Port Information
The island of Capraia is located in the Mediterranean and is part of the Tuscan Archipelago. It is considered the most maritime and at the same time the wildest island in the region. The island's existence can be traced back to two volcanic eruptions that took place millions of years ago. The volcanic activity is still reflected in Capraia's landscape today. It is dotted with sloping cliffs and rocks. The bay of Cala Rossa, which shines in colors ranging from red to black, is particularly famous. The main attraction is the Monte Castello mountain, which has the characteristic Mediterranean vegetation. With a little luck, birdwatchers can observe the rare Audouin's gull and various other species such as the crow shag or the Corsican siskin.
