New Zealand offers a variety of ferry connections between the islands and along the coast. The main connection between the North and South Islands is the Wellington-Picton route, operated by Bluebridge and Interislander. In the Auckland region, there are several ferry services to surrounding islands such as Waiheke Island and Rangitoto Island, operated by Fullers Ferry and Sealink NZ. Another important ferry connection is between Oban on Stewart Island and Bluff on the South Island.
