Molslinjen specializes in offering fast connections from Jutland to the Danish main island of Zealand and operates two routes there: Departures are from the ports of Aarhus and Ebeltoft on the Jutland Baltic coast, with Aarhus being the main port. On Zealand, the port of Odde in the far northwest of the island is always called at. On these two routes, Molslinjen operates three express ferries with a capacity of over 1000 passengers and a good 400 cars.

With cruising speeds of around 60-70 km/h, these fast ferries enable unrivaled short travel times of 75 minutes (from Aarhus to Odden on Zealand) and 55 minutes (from Ebeltoft to Odden). From Odden, the capital Copenhagen is just over 100 kilometers away. This makes the ferries an attractive alternative to the almost 200 kilometer longer road connection from Aarhus to Copenhagen via the island of Funen and the bridge over the Great Belt.

On board there is a gastronomic offer with restaurant, cafeteria and lounge as well as play areas for children. There are no open decks as these are fast ferries. There are also no cabins on board the Molslinjen ships, as they would be unnecessary given the short sailing times.

There are seven to eight daily connections from Aarhus in winter and up to twelve in summer. The Ebeltoft-Odden route is only operated once a day in summer.

Under the name Bornholmslinjen, Molslinjen also operates three routes from the port of Rönne on the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea: to Sassnitz on the German island of Rügen, to Köge on the Danish island of Zealand and to Ystad in southern Sweden.
