Some people like Lipsi because of its special charm. Only a few people live on Lipsi. Narrow, clean alleyways, several tavernas, plenty of peace and quiet and very friendly people make for a relaxing vacation. The island is very small and can be easily explored on foot. However, there are buses to the beaches, of which there are half a dozen with sand or pebbles. There is plenty of accommodation for visitors and so far it has been very reasonably priced. The picturesque landscape of Lipsi is barren, the hills round and low, so hikers will feel at home here.
