The ferry port on the island of Ios offers connections to the 19 other Greek islands of Paros, Anafi, Amorgos, Kimolos, Koufonissi, Sifnos, Mykonos, Serifos, Folegandros, Thira, Syros, Crete, Naxos, Tinos, Thirasia, Sikinos, Ios, Milos and Kythnos as well as to the ports of Piraeus and Rafina on the Greek mainland. A total of 23 routes are offered several times a day by the shipping companies SeaJets, Zante Ferries, Small Cyclades Lines, SAOS Ferries, Blue Star Ferries, Golden Star Ferries and Cyclades Fast Ferries.

If you are looking for a party, there is no way around the island of Ios. It is considered the true center of nightlife in the Cyclades and is therefore particularly popular with a young crowd. However, early risers who like to have the beach to themselves will probably also find their happiness here - because the party nights mean that it usually only gets a little livelier on the beaches in the afternoon. The monastery of Agia Ioannis and the regional vineyards are particularly worth a visit.
