Holyhead is a town on the island of Anglesey in the north of Wales. It is known for its commercial ferry port, which is an important link between the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The port of Holyhead is used by around 2 million passengers a year. Two ferry terminals, one for passengers and one for vehicles, are operated by Stena Line and Irish Ferries. The port offers regular ferry services to Dublin in Ireland, running several times a day.
The town of Holyhead is also the largest town in the county of Isle of Anglesey and a major transportation hub with good road and rail links. The city is easily accessible via the A55 and A5 highways.
