There are international ferry connections to Holland from Great Britain and Norway. The shipping company Stena Line operates several times a day between Hoek van Holland (a district of Rotterdam) and the English port city of Harwich. Another route is offered by P&O Ferries between Rotterdam and the city of Hull. Since 2022, there has also been a ferry connection from Eemshaven to Kristiansand in Norway (exceptionally from Emden or Cuxhaven in Germany in 2023).
