Morocco is located in the northwest of Africa and borders both the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The country has several important ferry ports with national and international connections.
The most important Moroccan ferry ports are Tangier, Nador and Al Hoceima. Tangier, one of Morocco's most important ports, is located at the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar and has two ferry terminals: Tangier-Med and Tangier. Tangier-Med is the larger port and offers ferry connections to Spain (Algeciras, Barcelona), France (Sète) and Italy (Genoa, Livorno). Tangier mainly connects Morocco with Tarifa in Spain.
Nador and Al Hoceima are located on the Mediterranean coast and offer connections to Spain, especially to Almería and Motril, as well as to France (Sète) and Italy (Genoa).
