There are direct ferry connections to Latvia from Germany and Sweden. The route from Travemünde to Liepaja takes 22 hours and is offered by the shipping company Stena Line. The route from Stockholm (Nynäshamn) to Ventspils is considerably shorter (approx. 8.5 hours).
