Cyprus is an island in the eastern Mediterranean and is politically divided into a Greek part in the south and a Turkish part in the north. The most important ferry ports on Cyprus are Limassol and Larnaca in the Greek part and Famagusta and Kyrenia in the Turkish part. The most important ferry routes lead from Greece and Turkey to Cyprus. There are currently regular ferry connections between ports in Turkey such as Mersin, Taşucu and Alanya and ports in the Turkish Cypriot part of the island.
