Alicudi is an insider tip and popular with hikers who appreciate the unspoiled, far from the tourist crowds. The tiny island with the extinct volcano Filo dell'Arpa is virtually uninhabited. You will look in vain for roads here. Centuries-old steps lead up from the harbor into the heart of nature and to the settlements of Bazzina, Montangola, Pianicello, Sgurbio and Tonna. Donkeys replace the cars. Seclusion and tranquillity are the advantages of Alicudi.
Figs, almonds, the famous capers and coveted vines also grow here.
You can take a break in the Chiesa San Bartolo church. From there you also have a wonderful view out to sea.
